Each time I put clean sheets on my bed, I regret the decision to buy cheap feather pillows a few months ago. I like a big mound of pillows on my bed (seven, currently), and needed to replace a few that had become particularly misshapen. Rather than invest in down pillows with 300 thread count covers, I opted for the expediency of down-and-feather pillows from KMart. The proportion of down-to-feathers seems to be approximately 1:1,000,000, and even with an extra cover on the pillows, there is significant leakage and pokage of little hard feather ends. I'm wondering how many pigeons had to be plucked to fill one pillow.
