If in your wandering the streets of your fair city - whatever your fair city might be - if you see glass lying about on the street, or sidewalk, kick it over tot he side, would you?

Recently I read a newspaper report that stated that car break-ins were on the increase. The theory was that, well yeah, with a bum economy, people get a little more desperate and commit crimes including various burglaries, thefts of varying kinds. A few days later it suddenly came to me that hey, I've been noticing a helluva lot of glass on the pavement. Lots of glass, much of it in the crumb form that windshield glass ends up as when broken. But side windows get messed up too, and hey, I'm seeing it. Weird. But true.

The thing is I have puncture-resistant tires. Techncally that means I can't get a flat. However, there are six tires on this thing and I have been given two different explanations about he little tires front and rear. they might be puncture resistant. they might not. Oh goody (this goes with the rest of what I know about this chair. Every tech has a different opinion about everything, from how long to charge it, whether the charger is adequate, whether to tighten this thing or not, you name it.) Nevertheless, it's scary riding on a sidewalk or going through a crosswalk, up a curbcut or over by the side of the street when I see the glint of glass. And of course, there are parents pushing strollers, and there are dogs walking the neighborhood. All of us are at risk. So if you see this and you're near your house, can you please, weather and safety-willing, sweep it off to the side? If you're out and about and see it, would you at least kick it toward the side of the road? You might save someone like me from a real hassle, a flat tire in the middle of the street, or in the middle of the night. No matter, it's a humongous hassle to deal with a flat tire on a wheelchair. It's potentially nasty and dangerous for all those puppy toes and I'd really appreciate it. You may not know it but you may make a difference in someone's mobility.

Thank you.
