Minor, Silly Publication

I just found out that my Week 6 Clarion story, "David and His Zebra," won First Place in Revolution SF's "Clarion, Shmarion" contest. I should get my prize (shwag bag of books) shortly, and it'll go up on their web-site along with the 2nd and 3rd Place stories.

The idea was to get the best stories that *wouldn't* go over well at a Clarion-style workshop. Along with the stories, participants submitted paragraphs explaining why not. Mine included the lines, "Suffice to say that every character in this story shares a name with one or more participants in the workshop. Oh, and it's probably worth mentioning that Tina, Caroline and Nicole were among those who were amused by the story...", which should probably suffice as a teaser for this slightly psychotic, sleep-deprivation-induced in-joke until it's published.
