Ok so I had a pretty eventful Saturday.... well I had an eventful hour or so anyway. It all started with some meatballs. Yup I love cooking so Katie and her parents came over and I made spaghetti and meatballs. nothing big but I love my meatballs. Anyway... thats a tangent. After dinner I was upstairs giving Molly (my daughter) a bath and my cell phone starts ringing, katie flips out and starts screaming JOHN!!!!!!!!! It's the Meyers!!!
The Meyer's are a family that lived across the street from Katie's mother. Their mother had to be put in assisted living, and they wanted to sell the house in orer to pay for the assisted living. Well I heard about this before it went on the market and called them asking if they would like to keep realtors out of the picture (saving both parties a few thousand dollars) they liked the idea and began dealing exclusively with me. Well the purpose of the phone call was to inform me that they have accepted my offer and to have my attorney start the paperwork. About this time I have a naked baby in my arms (wrapped in a towel as she just cam out of the bath) and I told Katie "we got the house".... she starts crying... women, why do you do this? Anyway I was going to wait but I figured she was alreay crying... why not add to it? =) So I proposed to her and we are now engaged.
