Well, I am still alive and have even gone out with the Special Forces yet again, and the enemy... obviously terrified of my fearsome bravado, ran for shelter even before I stepped into the small town of Akashat. A small town in South Western Iraq. The moment on ingress was tense, then it came... an onslaught of children charged us... asking questions and taking candy. It was brutal... but some how I managed. In-fact, to my utter amazement, we all survived. I can't recall seeing ammo expenditures... oh wait... those weren't bullets were they? I mean candy expenditures like that in years! It was crazy out there! But seriously kids. There was a tense moment when we first arrived, then it dissipated. As did the good weather. We got 40-50 knot winds and about 5-15 feet worth of visibility. So, if we were attacked, nobody on either side would have hit anything. All said, the people were quite happy to see us, as were the local police. There was no suspicious activity... Guess we are doing our jobs out here. And I'm still the "Lucky" guy to take out if you don't want to get into a firefight. Guess it could be worse!!!

C' ya all later!
