In no particular order...

OK - Since my last post I have Flown many times in my airplane. I've gone on trips to Big Bear, Hemet, Catalina and many more. I have gone on a weeklong trip to Mexico (1.5 hrs south of Cancun) It was absolutely gorgeous. Didn't get a chance to SCUBA dive, but I snorkeled quite a bit. I've gotten a new boss that makes us work out every Friday as a group at 0545. And as if that is not enough I have been slowly picking up surfing again, which has led to several 0515-0545 mornings at the beach. But this I actually enjoy. Getting out more still, I have also been delving a little into racquetball. (Just like surfing, I suck, but it's loads of fun).

Spent the 4th of July on my dad's boat in Catalina we were directly under the fireworks show. It was amazing! The little bear had to wear ear protection. He was very cute. He loved the show.

Went to the Big Bear Ren-Fair (not as good as Riverside, but the lack of people made up for it).

I also went skeet shooting for the first time in years and it was a blast. *Pun intended*.

Changed the oil, brakes and an O2 sensor on my Isuzu and I still need to get my bike fixed.

I found out that California has a "Use Tax" for airplanes... No sales tax! But funny, the use tax is the exact same rate as the sales tax... FRAUD!!!! So, I'm out over $5800.00!!!! Fortunately I finally got debt free (not counting the House) for the first time in my life two years ago so it won't kill me. But so much for spending cash...

Jenny has done her night cross-countries and is four flights and an exam away from her private pilots license! (You rock babe) I won't let her get a job till she finishes. (She really wants to work). Kody's incentive program. It's not a big deal, she is actually a really smart girl, hence the whole graduating with honors thing.

They tell me I should actually start flying cobras again next week... (I'll believe it when I see it).

When I was in Okinawa I had a Toyota van. (Rusty, 2 sunroofs, and a left-hand-drive 5 speed). I loved it! So we are now looking into getting a VW EuroVan Camper. It'll go good with the whole surfing thing.

That's all I can think of... I'm sure there is more, but whatever, it’s a journal, not a play-by-play. So if I've left something out or you have questions, let me know.

Keep on fighting the good fight!

Semper Fi and Fight on SC!
