Earlier in the week I took my motorcycle in to the dealer to find out why it was running so rough. Turns out to be $1300.00 worth of repairs. That includes new tires though. So I went in on Saturday to the open house (while Jenny and her friends went wine tasting in Temecula… I’m a beer guy). Turns out I won a $200.00 gift certificate for merchandise!!! So, I’ll get a new cool jacket. They had my dream bike for sale there as well. A GS1150 Dual sport BMW. I drooled, but we have just decided to move the airplane into a hangar (which we did yesterday) so no go there.

Later we had some friends over and played the CSI board game. Great game, but I have established a pattern in the game making the first round and a half pretty useless. Sill, it’s a good game. After the game we went outside and I showed everyone Mars through a telescope. You could make the planed out clearly and could plainly see 4 moons. It was great. Harry really liked it. (One step closer to making him into an Evil Scientist… Just kidding… *looks over shoulders with shifty eyes*)

Saturday night I slept in the back yard with Harrison. We put up the tent and looked at the stars for a while and had some typical conversations you could expect from a 3 year old. He loved it and has asked to do it every night since. I guess I’ll be spending my weekend nights outside for a while. I’ll have to get a new tent if I can’t find the top to this one. It has a plastic cover over mesh netting, but with the marine layer, the moisture filters through, leaving everything damp in the morning.

Well, as I mentioned earlier, we now have a hangar for the airplane. It is directly across from where it once was. Just totally enclosed now. I finally finished the oil change and successfully safety wired the filter and tested the engine. Everything went perfect. I did find out my landing light is out though. So I’ll have to test the electric connection and possibly buy a new one (more $…).

Finally, so far today I went surfing and wrote this. I pick up the bike later today and I also need to test fly the plane. If our connectivity comes up, I’ll post this also! Until then, I’ll be studying.

Oh yeah, I called Frank and he is currently in Shreveport, LA and doing fine. He thinks he lost everything back at his apartment though. But the good news is he’s ok. Jenny is getting close to taking her written exam too. Once that is done, four flights and she’s done! OK, that’s it I promise.

Keep up the good fight on the home front and don’t let the man get you down! (Don’t ask…)
