i'm really excited about the first line prompt thingy. i already have the first paragraph kind of mapped out in my mind. don't know if that's good or bad, cuz it might fence me in and prevent me from doing something else. i don't have the whole thing worked out, don't know where it will go or where it should go, but i thought i'd just write and see where it ends up. i'm wondering if the storyline i have so far will fall within the 3000 word limit. haha, oh that's funny, cuz i haven't been able to write that much since i did the lost in the dark halloween contest.

while i kind of like to let things marinate in my head for awhile, if i don't start writing some of it down, i'm afraid i'll procrastinate. i like this pushy perry thing. i'm one of those people that needs a swift kick in the ass to get me doing what i should do.

onto other things...it was a lazy weekend. the crimson tide showed up unannounced and kicked me on my ass.

we did head over to fiesta saturday night and decided to splurge and treat ourselves to some yummy mexican food. i had a new dish called pollo norteno (don't know how to get the ~ on top of the n). it was grilled chicken breast smothered in sauteed onions, mushrooms and bacon and topped off with their delicious cheese dip. mmmmm, the cheese dip melted and mixed with the onions, bacon and mushrooms. oh my god. mark got the guatalajara steak, a t-bone smothered in peppers and onions. when they first set the plates donw in front of us, with their sides of beans, rice and tortillas, neither of us thought we'd be able to eat it all. thirty minutes later, our plates were empty and mark and i were so stuffed and miserable, that we were wishing they'd put an apartment upstairs so we wouldn't have to walk all the way home. it's not far, really, but when you're stuffed to the gills, it might as well have been ten miles.

we collapsed on our bed, had a little green desert, and i was asleep by 9 pm. oooo, does that mean i'm getting old?

well, i guess i'd better find stuff to do. need to make my bed, do the dishes, put the roast on, take a shower and take it from there.

ya'll have a great day!
