So here I am, feeling very silly, because the whole point of a blog is that it's public, right? And yet, I'm all anxious that maybe no one will read it. And why should I care, I ask you? Or rather, I ask myself. I shouldn't. But I do. And is that any way to start one's very first online journal? With trepidation and anxiety and, let's face it, embarrassment? Because if I wanted to avoid those feelings in relation to an online journal, I could just avoid having an online journal.

But, extrovert that I am (actually, I'm perfectly balanced between extrovert and introvert, according to Meyers and Briggs), I want to put it out there.

Mostly, I think I just like to talk about myself. Sigh.

And I have to say, I'm awfully glad that there was a pink option for background. I don't ever wear pink -- it generally makes me look either blotchy or sallow. Well, except for the bridesmaid's dress -- but that was more raspberry candy colored. And except for shoes. I used to hate pink. But at some point I went for the total glam of pink. It's just so, well, pink! I want something made of pink feathers. As long as no birds are hurt to make it.

One of my identical twin nephews, when asked what colors he likes, will invariably respond with something like, "I like all the colors, but pink is my _best_ color." Gotta' love four year olds.
