I just got back from my eye exam with Dr. Cress, and I am definitely a candidate! Yay! I'm scheduled for surgery on Monday, May 22 at 1:30 pm, so send thoughts of good vision my way then. I'll go to work that morning, and then to the IEP meeting for one of my students, then I'll rush home to meet Sean at my house. He's going to drive me back over the hill to the laser center and then drive me home again and hang out with me all afternoon and evening, and even crash at my house so if anything happens in the night or in the morning I've got somebody to drive me. What a doll. I might have him take me to my sister's for a while, just to hang out (and then if he wants a break he can get one), but I think I want to sleep at home. I want to be able to stumble into the bathroom at 2 in the morning without stepping on stray toys. And I want to sleep in my own cushy bed.

I love my bed. I'd go get in it right now except that it's a little late to take a nap. Closing my eyes does sound good, though. They're still pretty dilated from the exam. I'm glad it was only about a ten block drive home from Dr. Cress' office, because even with the temporary sunglass inserts behind my glasses, the glare was still a little harsh. And my vision is slightly blurry, but not bad.

I'm so excited! And, I'm taking Tuesday the 23rd off of work, so I can finally catch up on all those tv shoes I'm behind on!! :-)

I think breakfast at Zachary's on Tuesday morning will definitely be in order as well. Mmmm....

So that's my news, and now I'm going to turn off this lightbox and figure out some kind of light dinner to eat before my salsa class tonight.
