Oh, yeah...that world. Been sick, been lazy, there was a hurricane, then we ran around doing stuff, then we painted the bathroom blue, and then and then and then...

And then it was the last week of September and I cried, "ye gods! I didn't get a damn thing done!" Well, I haven't. Painting the bathroom just doesn't count. I probably haven't even done a journal entry since we grew a butterfly. Just one this year. Yes, grew. There's this little weed that grows out in the back yard (no, I didn't smoke it) that a specific caterpillar eats. Then it turns into a yellow butterfly. It's all very self-contained. Haven't been able to spot the type in the insect books, tho.

I've had dozens of ideas and gotten nothing done about them. I keep thinking, "which mag is F&B at?" and realizing that I haven't actually sent the damn thing out yet. Sheesh. And this weekend we're helping a friend move. Hectic.

Things read: almost read "The Lost Boys". Very dull. Actually stopped reading it. I'm sure some interesting things happened at some point, but I was all out of patience by then. "Veniss Underground." "Across the Nightingale Floor". Pretty good. Thin enough plot to be mainstream, but elegantly done. "Dirty Work" by Pat Cadigan. Wow. Go, Pat. Amazing stuff.
