Well, I finally have a mentor from the HWA. Yaay! Hopefully I'm not a completely hopeless case and he won't give up on me quickly.

But, hey! A mentor! *happy dance*

In other news, I was assaulted by a story last night and managed to write an entire flash-fic piece in under 1 hour. Now it needs to lose about 271 words to make it a lean 500 (standard). Then it needs a home. I quite like it. I'm about last on wordage in Mike Jasper's novel dare, but at least I'm writing regularly. Hell, maybe I'll even finish the novel someday.

And for those who commented about the lizard: she's quite shy and sedate, actually. I'm still peering into the tank every day wondering when there'll be baby lizards. Are there little lizards yet? Awww.
