Our neighbor, the same one who gave us our beloved corn snakes, popped over last week to give us a chorus of frogs and a glass lizard. For those who aren't familiar with them, there's a picture here. It'd been hiding in her new digs, which is basically a big terrarium with nice dirt and some succulents that I added, since we got her. I figured I'd leave critters that don't want to play alone and just kept the dirt moist and the cricket supply full. Then Andreas came home and told me that she had a reason for hiding - Ryu is a she, and is firmly wrapped around her clutch of eggs like a good mummy lizard. Yay!

I got about 500 words written on my lunch break, but nothing else since Andreas is home. I haven't had anyone to annoy since Monday, so I had to keep in practice. Besides, he gets to visit the Dali museum next week, the bastard.

And for those local, there's a library sale at Chapel Hill this weekend. You probably already know. If I know, it's generally after the entire free world has already found out. If you do go, don't step on me in your mad rush toward the books. My toenail is still an exciting shade of black from being crushed.

Currently Reading: reference materials, mainly.

Recommend: The Brilliance of the Moon Up to a point, that is. She should have expanded that section of the series over two books as it ends up a bit scrunched.

Stories out: 1. Does Black October still exist? I keep meaning to query.
