Suicide club, birds, and bills

We watched the Japanese horror film "Suicide Club". The moral of the story is that jpop is evil. You probably knew that, but you may have underestimated just how evil it can be. Eeeeevil. Looks like the lovely IRS is taking my payment check and not crediting it toward the account (we write a check each, which seems to have confused them. While they cash *both checks*, they only count my husband's toward the account, the little dears). So that looks like unpleasantness for next week. On a more upbeat note, I've been thoroughly chittered at by the hummingbirds, who were chasing one another around me for a bit. If you've never seen one of those beaks heading straight for you propelled by a bird-shaped blur, then veer off at the last second, you're missing something. Probably a pierced eyeball. I keep waiting to see if they're going to get stuck in my ear or something.

I need to write. I got started on a story, wrote a bit over 1k on it on Thursday, and then today I've paid bills and run errands and checked the mail and paid more bills and and balanced my checking account. The only bills I like are on cute birds, dammit.

Oh, well. Maybe I'll win money from one of the shopping surveys I filled in. Right. Better chance than winning the NC Lottery. Why don't we have one of those yet? Oh, yeah, the freakin' religious zealots who are saving us from ourselves. Oh, help, help.
