Which was yesterday, I know, but we had a nice Solstice. I gave Andreas his presents and we wandered off to play Guild Wars for a while. Then around 8pm-ish, we hear the doorbell. It's UPS with my Solstice nifty -- a shiny silver Wacom tablet.

Other loot for the day includes a Borders gift card, 2 tins o' tea, a pointsettia, earrings, and a Target gift card. Ah, the materialism. Whee! And all the stuff I've given out has at least not received the "what IS it?" expression. One bit of rampant squee-ing over garnet earrings and spice cookies was a bonus. My Mom and Grandma don't open things until it's actually gosh-darn Xmas, so we'll see how that goes. Probably a mixture of "what IS it?" with a little "that's...interesting" and hopefully a bit of "awww, cute!". (For those still hanging in there, I got them a lot of random stuff, including a stuffed Woodstock, stuff from the Asian market, and really ancient movies on DVD)
