2006-04-04 12:24 AM Whew, can I catch my breath now? Read/Post Comments (2) |
What a crazy day. It started off with a zip and a do da day.
We fixed all the clocks in the house for daylight savings, EXCEPT for our alarm clocks... So you know what that means... we all got up LATE! The hustle and bustle in the house this morning was just a bit more than I could handle. After getting everyone else off to their prospective places, I sat for about 2 seconds and then got myself ready for work. The psycho showed up this morning a bit hungover from the weekend. She looked pretty green when I got there, and about 10 minutes into our day, she announces she is going home for a few hours to "take medicine for her allergies", which meant, she was goin home for a few nips off her bottle... Four, now, count them, FOUR hours later, she returns to work and everyone was like "aww poor *****, are you feeling better?!" I almost needed a barf bag. How she keeps pulling the wool over these peoples eyes is beyond me. Its quite frustrating. It was nice to have those 4 hours without her, but man were we ever busy. It seemed like this was the morning for everyone to come shopping for furniture! I think by noon we had 11 sales, which is not a typical monday for us. It was nice, cuz it kept my mind off psycho not being there, not being able to take my morning break, or being able to go to my lunch break at my regularly scheduled time. I was even able to listen to music this morning without having to listen to her gripe about how she doesnt like to have the music on while she's working... I got home from work and went right to baking my sons cake for his party at school. Then off to the wild outdoors to play some lacrosse with bug boy. As sore as my muscles are from playing dodgeball, I pulled my shoulder out yet again! But at least I had fun doing it :) Watching him run all over the place because I dont know how to use the damn lacrosse stick was quite amusing Daughter had musical practice tonight yet again, she didnt arrive home til after 10 pm. I dont know how she is doing it. Keeping up her grades, maintaining stage crew for the musical, keeping up on her chores at home... She left the house this morning at 7:10 am and was going non stop til after 11 pm tonight. God bless her lil heart, once this musical is over, she will sleep for a month!! I am most likely going to delaware tomorrow night. I need to hit the Habitat for Humanity "Restore" tomorrow so I can pick up a few things we desperately need for the house. Possibly a new front door, and 2 screen doors. One of my dearest girlfriends works at the "Restore" and informed me I can pick up those 3 doors for under 100 bucks, so thats an amazing deal that I really cant pass up right now. Our screen door broke, so its time to replace it. Of course dear ol' hubby will be an observer only while I install the doors, the idea of him using power tools scares the shit out of me!! well I am off to bed, time to go rest my weary muscles! I wanted to add something else before I went to bed We called the cable tv company last night, long story short, we have been having trouble with the reception on our tv. I dont think I have ever received such terrible customer service in my life. The lady I was talking to was a complete blithering idiot. After she told me that I was too ignorant to follow her directions, my husband got on the phone and had a go-around with her, then hubby demanded to speak to a supervisor... (Good cop bad cop type of thing going on with hubby and I with this CS Rep) After the supervisor gets on the phone and makes a few dumb remarks to my husband, we canceled service with them. Today, while home on lunch, the cable company called and basically offered us the moon to stay as their customer. I am not exactly sure what happened, I know that they record the calls into the Customer Service Centers for quality control, but they apologized profusely for how we were treated last night and basically were begging to keep us as customers. I find it funny, because all we wanted was someone to come and fix the damn cable tv connection. I didnt want HBO, Showtime, 20 bucks off my bill a month for the next year, upgraded internet service, a promotion on our cable tv service. Basically the next 3 months, we wont have a bill LOL what morons. I woulda been happy if they had just sent a tech out here to fix the connection!
