my goodness, we made all these plans to go to Knoebels Park today... the forecast was pretty terrible, thunderstorms and whatnot... We decided to give it a go and go anyways.

I am glad we did. There were a few sunshowers, and thats it. The rest of the time it was sunny and perfect! My son went on his first "big" rollercoaster and loved it (thrill rider just like his good ol' momma!!) I had the bestest time today!!

We also took our dog with us. He does great in social settings, EXCEPT when other dogs are around, then his head spins and he turns into the exorsist dog! The first 45 minutes into the park were quite interesting, but after he realized all the other dogs were on leashes too, he calmed down. We ALL had a great time even good ol' straussy boy. People were very interested in what breed he was and were shocked when we told him he was "Pure bred mutt" and then we would explain that he's golden retreiver, sheepdog and chow mix. It was funny to see peoples reactions. No word of lie, we had about 100 folks approach us and ask us about him. Strauss sacked out on the ride home, not even lifting his head when we stopped to get coffee, or when we stopped to get the kids something to eat.

oh and about the gas guy coming last night to turn the gas back on...

The guy shows up at about 10:30 pm, and was informed it was a unique situation. When he first arrived, our tenant gave him immediate trouble, which in turn the gas guy says "shut up, I am here to turn on THEIR gas, not yours" he he he

After the gas man figured out how to keep their gas off, and turn ours back on, he had to come into our home to light all the pilots and check the hotwater heater, furnace and stove to make sure that everything was ok. I walked him down to the basement to show him where the meter was, and he starts going "boy, you got your hands full with those m-f'ers" and proceeded to tell me what exactly was said over there. Seems our tenant is claiming WE illegally turned off their gas service, that they have a receipt for paying 73 bucks last week and shows him the receipt. When the gas guy provides them with a bill for over 3 grand, and explains 73 dollars doesnt make a dent in that bill, they shut up. They also tried the "we have kids and a baby who needs hot water" gig and that didnt work either! There is a part of me that sort of feels sorry for them, but on the other hand, they have turned quite nasty since we started with the eviction, so the pity wears off pretty quickly.

So our gas is back on, we had a blast at the amusement park and tomorrow is mothers day and I will get spoiled! I would say its been a great weekend so far!!
