Wow, I cannot believe how time has flown!! Alot of good things have happened in the last month, first of which is we finally finished the apartment and it is rented out and occupied by the new tenants!!!!! The inspector that came to inspect the apartment for the occupancy permit walked in and said "WOW! This place has been beautified!" That brought a huge smile to my face and made me feel like we accomplished at least one thing good!

The new tenants are 4 19 year old kids (I know mom, your not too happy about this, but...) So far so good, it seems they did read up on their lease, and instead of just going and doing anything they want, they have knocked on our door and asked us questions. One of which made us laugh! "We read in the lease that anything we nail into the walls becomes part of the property, can we hang pictures without having them remain part of the property?"

They also hired a guy to come hook up the gas stove and install a ceiling fan, they paid the cost themselves, but asked us first about having this person come in and do electrical work. Cool beans!

The other very sweet thing that happened concerning the new tenants, I just returned home from grocery shopping, and as I was unloading the bags upon bags of groceries, one of the boys came over and insisted on taking the bags out of my hands and carrying them in for me!

Yep, I think so far, we made the right decision...

Other good news on the homefront:

I was hired by Caremark fulltime, with all the fringe benefits!! My official hire date was this past Monday, and I am thrilled as hell that my contract is over with the temp company! I signed and sealed and delivered all the paperwork, and received my new picture ID badge that now says "employee" instead of "visitor"!

So all is well here, finally!!
