Spacetime the series is starting to shape up quite nicely. I have most of the first episode done, and a strong foundation for the second. I have a 411 on the main characters, and their general arcs through the season.

The hard part is going to be additional episodes. J. Michael Strazynski may enjoy working in a silo with regards to creating a show, but it's much more fun to have the creative energies of a staff when trying to create a whole new universe.

I'm also creating myself a routine so that I can no longer discover that I've been procrastinating on things. I face the challenge of packing more into my day with less sleep, less time, and stricter timetables. Day care scheduling is such that I can't work out in the morning, so I've shifted some of that to lunch times. Which means fewer lunches available for calling, which means I need to make full use of the days I do have available to call.

I also spend more time in the evening with my little one (and I'm not giving that up!), but that does mean I need to be very efficient with the rest of my obligations (writing, cleaning, etc).

Calls to TV shows starts in the next week. Last night I made my list of numbers and names, I've worked out a script to use, and have time set aside to start calling.

And tomorrow the short-shorts screening happens! I really, really hope the first one I wrote, ROCK, PAPER, SCISSORS, came out well...
