I received a rejection of "Walking" from _Flytrap_ today, and I've decided to pull it from the submission process. It's always felt like a novel, rather than a short story, so I'm going to try and turn it into a novel now. I have another 3000 words I cut to make it work better as a short, but now I can put them back into the story and write even more. I just have to make myself do it, which has always been my problem with long works -- heck, even with short stories.

Two stories to write now: "Tracker" and "Walker." At least "Tracker" actually feels like a short story, so the competition for time between the two works should be brief.

The "Walker" rejection brought me down a bit, so I'm trying to shrug it off and keep a positive attitude about my writing. Onward.
