Some of the writers (and the publisher) on the Gothic.net bulletin boards helped me feel a lot better about rejections today. The general consensus: develop a thick skin, as rejections are a numerous reality for even the best writers, and keep on writing and submitting. One woman even had a "rejection from hell" story that just appalled me. Now I know that I've been pretty dang lucky with my rejections.

All of the good advice from other authors aside, the person who helps me deal most effectively with story rejections is my wife. Thanks, Sweetling!
