I caught some sort of nasty bug this morning, leaving me feeling feverish and generally miserable all day. I felt so rotten in fact, that I only lasted two hours in a legal seminar scheduled for the whole day. The second bout of cold sweating in combination with a painful, queasy stomach convinced me to give up and head home.

On a very pleasant note, the literary agency handling William Goyen's story rights agreed to my contract, and the short story, "Ghost and Flesh, Water and Dirt," will now appear in the February 1, 2004 issue of Lone Star Stories. The issue is now complete. I just need to type up the story.
