Gah.

I hate car insurance. I hate insurance of any kind. The fact that exists and that I *must* have it or else drives me crazy.

The fact that it's rediculously expensive in LA is just retarded. They figured that living in LA it should be three times higher than the rate I get for my OC address. This is so stupid.

It's not like OC is so far from LA we'd never think of driving through here. Idiots.

It takes them at least a week (usually more) to send mail from the insurer (who's in Atlanta) to my parent's address in Fullerton. Then I have to take time out (maybe an extra week or two more) to go to the house and pick up my mail.

In that time bills become overdue and often the existence of my account is threatened. Or the whole thing is cancelled.

I can't get this fucker reinstated, and somehow I still owe them $89. Goddammit.

And you know what's really stupid? I had to call information twice to get this dealt with because the last notice from the insurer ("Give us money, NOW! And by the way, we hate you.") didn't have any phone numbers - either to them or the broker that I go through - Solo.

don't laugh, Solo gets me cheap rates. They're just with some company on the other side of the country that likes to walk is mail to me.

I've checked out Allstate and State Farm and those guys, but they're bloody expensive. And my parents are with one of them so I was too for a short time and they screwed us over when I was still learning to drive.

*sigh*
