I am so excited! Only four more days until mine and Berek's vacation!! WHOO HOO!! :D We had a bit of a scare yesterday though.

I haven't had a bank account in close to four years because I messed up and let the monthly fees add up thus overdrawing my account. (I really don't want to go into the whole story at the moment) So anyway, last Saturday Berek and I opened an account at Union Bank of California. The thing is, they told me they'd put a hold on any checks deposited, but I foolishly assumed that it would be for the standard 3-5 days. It actually was for 9 business days! So the funds that I deposited last Saturday and the funds that I deposited yesterday wouldn't be available for our trip! Which meant that we were broke going into our trip, even though almost $900 in the account!

Thankfully, upon explaining to my family what happened they cheerfully (which was shocking) offered to front money for the trip until the checks cleared.

Also, Berek (like the sweetheart he is) went to the branch and talked to the manager (or someone of the likes) and explained our situation. After I called him to verify account information he was able to free up at least the first paycheck for me today, and will free up the second paycheck for me by Tuesday. I can't believe it all worked out afterall.

YAY! We're going on vacation next week AND we have money!! WHOO HOO! *does the happy dance* :D
