I'm very tired right now and unfortunately my day ended on a rather depressing note. *sigh*

Today I went to my parents house to celebrate Thanksgiving. I was fully aware that it would be stressful. My mom usually gets very frustrated and pissy on these types of social events, which in turn, pisses me off and makes me very frustrated. We have this tendency to get at each other's throats. This was pretty much the tone for the day. It had it's ups though. We got to watch Batman Begins (a good movie) and we also watched a family favorite Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. We watch that film every Thanksgiving. It was my grandmother's favorite. We also watched Grumpy Old Men which I find is a personal favorite (Burgess Meredith is a riot!).

Dinner was great! I made fresh cranberry sauce which we served atop a salad that my mom made. It turned out really good. I think I may have had a bit too much turkey, but who the hell cares right?

I didn't bring home any left overs because I have a lasagna that my mom made which probably won't last for Berek to get home and I doubt that any of the Thanksgiving left overs would make it until then either.

As for the down note, well it's a bit too personal to put in plain public views, but it is dealing with a family member. They're okay and all, but very stubborn. It makes me sad to see them be this way.
