Yay! A Friday off! Woot! I think I'll ask for these days off more often in the future! I'm not used to missing an appointment day at work. This is fun! Anyway, this morning I got up and went to the bank to deposit my nice fat bonus and also to take some of that money to go and buy my school books for this semester. Whew! Books are expensive! I went and nearly spent all of the money I took from my bonus! Goddamn I need financial aid or something! School is starting to take its toll on my pocket book!

So today I also decided to take one of several steps to a much cleaner and less cluttered lifestyle. :) I've started by cleaning up the apartment a bit. Mostly putting away fall-type decorations and putting up new spring decorations. (i.e. instead of a fall bouquet in the bathroom, I now have a spring one)

I've cleaned the kitchen up pretty good. I swept the floor (didn't mop it today, did that last week) and I cleaned up the stove area and sinks where the microwave and the dishpan are. I then moved on into the bathroom where I replaced the bouquet as well as finally FINALLY putting up my dustbuster on the wall. :) I've been meaning to do that for ages! (Probably since I moved into the apartment.) I swept the floor, cleaned the sink, the toilet and skipped the shower, I'll let Berek handle that one. I've got laundry in the washing machine and I'm going to start in the livingroom. Last night, I started straightening up the coffee table, so I think today I'm going to vaccuum and clean the sliding glass door and somehow arrange the pillows on the couch. *Sigh* I have WAY too many pillows for the couch. I think I'll pack away a few and change them out once in awhile.

I'm hoping to get to the dining room table this weekend at some point (or I'll let Berek work on it). The reason is because I'm hoping to have company over this weekend. :) I e-mailed a reply to my friend Ashley who wants to hang out for a few hours on Sunday and I'm hoping to host a nice little dinner. :) I like being a hostess, but I also realized I haven't had anyone over for such an occasion since Berek and I moved in!

Well, in any case, I'm going to finish my lunch and get back to work in the apartment. With all the time I've been working (and now with school starting), I have to be sure the apartment is at it's cleanest so that I'm not breaking my back later during midterms or something.
