Yesterday, we met up with Rob and Jen and yes, Gabriel! Yay! Rob had called us on Saturday and asked us if we wanted to join them at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. We jumped at the chance! :)

Anyway, we headed over to their place around 10 a.m. and got there just before 11. Gabriel had just woken up as we went in to see him lying in his crib. What a cute little baby?! He's definately a little lady's man! He liked me and he liked Berek. (Berek of course began giving me the "I want baby" looks! It was a long day of that folks!)

So we waited so that Rob and Jen could feed him and make sure his diaper was clean and then we headed out. Gabriel was seated between Berek and I in the car. At first, he was playing with us and enjoying our company, but then he started getting sleepy. He fought it tooth and nail (if he had any teeth that is). Finally, after Berek told him it was ok and that he wouldn't miss anything, he went to sleep. (This kid is pretty smart!)

The aquarium was a lot of fun! FISHAY! FISHAY! :) Fish are always cool! I immediately went to the pufferfish tank and was immediately greeted by my puffer minions. And yes, like last time, they gave me that smile again. (If you're not sure what I'm talking about, you might recall that the first time I went to the Aquarium was with Rob and Jen and when I went to the puffer fish tank they all came up to me and smiled and swam away.) Rob and I both thought that they looked like buses when they swam away. :) Gabriel was fascinated with the fish. He enjoyed himself, but a little too much, because he fell asleep soon thereafter.

Rob's minions, the spider crabs were apparently uninterested in the fact that their master had returned. :) Ah well, he has someone else to worship him now...like Gabriel. :) Maybe they were jealous?

We had a lot of fun with the whole family that is, Rob, Jen and Gabriel. I'm really glad that we got to hang out with them and finally meet Gabriel. :)

In fact, now this might seem a little premature or even weird, but on the car ride home, Berek said to Gabriel, "I'm sorry it took so long, but I'm really glad that we finally got to meet you." and Gabriel nodded his head and smiled! Did he understand what he said? Was it a coincidence? Who knows, but I'd like to think that he understood what Berek was saying. Kids can be really smart and understand a lot more than we give them credit for. :)
