So yesterday was a longer day than I realized. I noticed it after Berek and I went to pick up his dad to make a quick run to Toys R Us and Best Buy. I fell asleep in the car after we went to Best Buy.

I got home and I took a shower and then I changed into my 'jammies and waited until 10p.m. so that I could teach Berek how to give Naboo his metaclopromide. (That was interesting!) Berek has never given medication to a cat before. Anyone who is owned by a cat knows that it is a practically impossible feat. Fortunately for me, I have the knowledge and experience of medicating cats (and dogs) so I was attempting to teach Berek. It was hilarious. He was very tentative about putting the syringe dropper into his mouth. I explained that there is a spot on the side of a cat's mouth that if pushed, the cat opens his/her mouth. Berek was cute because he was so tentative/nervous. The thing of it is, I think he was afraid of hurting Naboo. The problem is, if you're nervous, you're more likely to hurt him. So I assured him that he was doing fine and that he just needed to find the right spot and push. The thing with this medication is that you have to give it in small bursts on both sides of the mouth. The reason is because it does taste kind of funky and you want to make sure the cat gets the entire dose. So he had to poke one side of the mouth, then the other and then back again. It was interesting...like I said. (This morning, it was much easier for him to administer.)

So, tonight is going to be a long night with work ending at 5, school starting at 6:45p.m. and getting home to make blue cranberry sauce. (Which reminds me, I need to pick up a pint of blueberries.) *sigh* I just want a nice relaxing holiday, but I know it will be far from it.

Berek and I have decided that I will spend tomorrow entirely at my parents house and Berek will come over for two or three hours and then go and hang out with his folks. I would've gone with Berek this year, but I feel that it is more important to stay with my family. Especially, since my grandfather isn't getting any younger. Besides, he loves it when I come over. :)

In any case, it's a nice long weekend and that's gonna be cool! :)
