2007-03-12 9:40 AM 4-year Anniversary Weekend Mood: Exhausted, but feeling great! Read/Post Comments (0) |
So Friday night, I made an extra special dinner and we ate it on the balcony and relaxed and talked about our day. The dinner I made was awesome! It was Turkey polish sausage with Peppers! Berek loved it! I loved it! :)
I bought Berek a bouquet of white and green flowers and made a card that read: Love Everlasting Timeless Sensual Baltimore Ontario Wichita Los Angeles So naturally we went bowling. It was a lot of fun! There was a minor set back towards the end of our bowling hour, but otherwise it was perfect! What happened at the end of our hour was that the people two lanes to our left were getting very rowdy because they were drunk. So the two girls were screwing around and wound up getting a ball stuck in the gutter. So they tried to get it moving by using another ball to hit it. (Like that was going to work!) So they were loud and obnoxious and that threw our game off. So much so that I wound up doing a pseudo-sommersault on the lane! Actually, it was because my shoes sucked. You're supposed to slide a bit when you're bowling...that's the point of bowling shoes. But what actually happened was as I was sliding, my shoe suddenly caught traction and I flipped over falling out over the lane! Of course I was embarassed, but otherwise unscathed. So my ball was stuck halfway down the lane because I didn't even toss it. I reported it to the guys (by that time a guy retrieved the dead ball in the rowdy people's lane. Well, they had did it again and so the guy took forever to come over because he assumed we were screwing around. Finally, he came, but as Berek went to bowl his game, the pins reset and then the lane went out and we were done. *Sigh* We were a bit annoyed. We still had fun though, but we were glad that we were leaving. So we went home and we went to sleep. Saturday, I got up and I made crepes for us. They were supposed to be our dessert on Friday, but we weren't interested in dessert. My crepes were way better than any of the ones we've bought at restaurants or in Santa Monica. They came out soooo good! I will be happy to make them again. Perhaps with eggs and veggies and sausage or something. This time though I had plums, Nutella and Nutella and banana fillings. Yum yum! For the most part we just wandered around and relaxed the day away which was really good because we both needed to unwind. Then we made an appearance at my parents' house because my dad had a portfolio for a potential photographer. It looks promising and he's going to give us a great discount! Then we had a charity benefit to go to in L.A. It was a Tribute to Stephen Sondheim and the charity was for AIDS. It was pretty cool going, but it was a mess for other reasons. Oy! The theater was an older theater and there was no real wheelchair seating. So after we got that situated for Berek's dad, we headed up to the balcony and tried to relax. We got home pretty late and I totally crashed. On Sunday we took our time getting up and about. Around 10:15 a.m. we headed to Borders, but we didn't drive we walked. It was very nice. The busway we were walking parallel to has rosemary planted all around it so we had a nice fragrant walk. :) The weather was absolutely beautiful. It is warming up now and the sun was shining brightly! We spent about an hour at Borders. I picked up a new address book and a journal for $2! I got such a great deal! We headed back and Berek and Ben headed out to Valencia for Heroclix. I decided to eat lunch and get some stuff done around the house before I headed out to the swap meet and the mall to wander. I didn't drive though. I walked! I walked for 3 hours and it was awesome! I am definately sore, but it feels so good. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
