Okay, the online digital world is sucking my brain.

  • I've been switching between the iMac at home and my WinXP desktop at work. Not that big a deal, except that I have to keep reminding myself which shortcut keys to hit and where my window buttons are and how to to toggle between windows within the same program. It confuses me.

  • When using, say, Word, I find myself automatically trying to italicize with HTML tags rather than selecting the word and hitting CTL-i.

  • Still, it's not as bad as a few years ago when I'd photocopied a newspaper clipping. Sitting at my desk, I placed a yellow highlighter at the beginning of a paragraph and dragged it diagonally across the section. I actually stared at the paper for a couple of minutes, trying to figure out why it hadn't selected.

Brain dead. Yep, that's me.

:P
