Although he chatters non-stop, Hunter's only been saying a few things that are identifiable as words: light, mama, dada, banana ("nana"). However, it's obvious he understands many more than I'd realized.

We were playing one of our "blow puffs of air on each others' faces" games, him standing on the floor at the foot of our bed, me lying on the bed, facing him. He started blowing with his teeth holding onto his lower lip, changing our normal "puh! puh! puh!" into "f-f-f-f-f." I mimicked him, saying, "Fuh! Fuh! Fuh! Frog!"

His face lit up. He toddled over to the side of the bed and came back holding one of his frog bath toys, absolutely beaming at his cleverness.

I adore this little boy.
