Bulls win! 82-0? ;-)

I didn't get to see much of the preseason action from my Chicago Bulls, but I did get to watch most of the opener against the defending NBA champion Miami Heat.

What a blowout!

The Bulls are young and athletic, with a swarming defense and enough offensive prowess to win a lot of games. They may not be great offensively but they are pretty darned GOOD, and they could become great, I think.

John Paxson has worked miracles with this roster, getting players who have performed above and beyond expectations. Hard working, right-minded, selfless players who value team over personal statistics. Kirk Hinrich embodies those qualities. The 25 year old could have probably waited them out and gotten more in the offseason when he would be a restricted free agent, but he took a bit less overall cash for a nice deal which gives him security and pays him a bit more up front. Granted, it's still 47.5 million dollars over 5 years, but other players are getting more going a different route.

I like this team, and I like their chances to go deeper into the playoffs, and to run a few teams out of the gym this season.

Go Bulls!
