I swiped this one from Netta's blog, who borrowed it from THE MEMORY PROJECT. It's sort of a fun look at some different songs...

IF YOUR LIFE WAS A MOVIE, WHAT WOULD THE SOUNDTRACK BE?

1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc)
2. Put it on shuffle
3. Press play
4. For every category, type the song that's playing.

Opening Credits:
EVERY POET WANTS TO MURDER SHAKESPEARE, Bad Examples

Waking Up:
SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL, Grand Funk Railroad

First Day At School:
BABA O'REILLY, The Who (Teenaged Wasteland? An apt description?)

Falling In Love:
CALL ME BACK AGAIN, Paul McCartney and Wings

Fight Song:
MAD ABOUT YOU, Belinda Carlisle

Breaking Up:
YOU CAN CALL ME AL, Paul Simon (???)

Prom night:
FAR FAR AWAY FROM MY HEART, BoDeans

Life:
LOUIE, LOUIE, Fastball (not THAT Louie Louie...)

Mental Breakdown:
I FEEL FINE, The Beatles

Driving:
SK8TR BOI, Avril Lavigne

Flashback:
WONDROUS STORIES, Yes

Getting back together:
LET'S SAY GOODNIGHT, Los Lobos

Wedding:
HAVE YOU EVER SEEN THE RAIN, Credence Clearwater Revival (or was it John Fogarty? I didn't go look...)

Birth of Child:
WAKE UP BABY, Loose Diamonds

Final Battle:
BABY RUTH, John Prine

Funeral Song:
OOH, BABY BABY, Linda Ronstadt

Final Credits:
SOMETHING SO STRONG, Crowded House

****

It's funny how closely some of the songs fit the category/credit...

Right now THE JOKER by Steve Miller Band is playing (still on random shuffle). Good thing that one didn't come up for, oh, say, Birth of Child...
