I didn't get to see hardly any of the game except for the end, but the result was nice: Cubs win, 4-23! Big Z gets his first ever opening day win, and Soriano leads off with a HR, first time that's happened for the Cubs since the immortal Tuffy Rhodes did it back in the 1990's. (Might have been 1994...)

Manager Lou Piniella said that they played some pretty good baseball. Game two tonight, Dempster against Wandy Rodriguez.

Oh yeah. The White Sox won too, today, on an eighth inning Jim Thome HR off of Kyle Farnsworth. We had such high hopes for Farnsworth when he was a Cub. But alas, not so good for Kyle.
