...so I'm subjecting any readers I might occasionally have to this meaningless entry.

  • Today sucks from a dental office perspective. I had three patients, two of them long appointments, and only one has shown up. On the plus side, my hygienist's first five patients have all shown up, and we have high hopes for her sixth.

  • Been getting some reading done. Read The Pixar Touch, The Long Tail, F. Paul Wilson's latest Repairman Jack book (Fatal Error), Carl Hiaasen's Scat, and a few others in the last month.

  • Went to a Michael Connelly signing at Anderson's Bookstore in Naperville, Illinois, and purchased his latest novel, the title of which is escaping me at the moment. But Connelly seems like a nice fellow.

  • Searched the basement and found several old tapes of stuff I've never seen in CD format - stuff like Yipes! (a band from Milwaukee Wisconsin), The Vulgar Boatmen, The Del Lords, and The Del Fuegos, to name a few. I have gotta figure out how to turn these tapes into digital files. (I have the software to do it, it's just a matter of sitting down and doing it!)

  • Found a really straight oak branch, and turned it into a rather nice (if I do say so myself) walking stick for my wife. I was thinking, "maybe if I find enough of these, I could make a bunch and SELL them!!!" ;-)

Okay, I guess that's enough for now. Maybe I'll be back sometime...eventually...
