Thanks for The Visit, Snow

It's been an interesting week. We had so much snow and ice on Tuesday that our first workshop of the new year was cancelled. Ice storm turned the top layer of ground snow into an icy crust. Made a nice cruncy sound when you walked on it.

Wednesday it started to warm up. Today almost all the snow was gone, exposing large patches of grass. Hey, nothing like snow and ice to break up the monotony of rain and gray clouds.

And on top of that I was hit with the flu again. I don't normally get the flu. I might get a couple of colds during the year, but they weren't kidding about a bad flu season. Yuck. This might be the same virus I had during Xmas. This time, however, no nausea, just a stomach ache and lack of appetite with back pain the first day. Fatigue, too. I slept a lot.

I gotta say I'm feeling better today and I have more of an appetite. I think I lost a few pounds in the last couple of days.

As for writing through all this, I wrote a thousand words on Monday, but faltered on Tuesday and Wednesday when the flu hit. Today, I revised 29 pages of the novel, plus wrote one page of new words. Looks like I'm back on my feet and I'm ready to go again tomorrow!
