Right now, I'm in Galena, Illinois. I took some time off from work so that Jen and I could visit Jen's mom for some much-needed time off.

Today, Jen, Jen's mom and I went to an aquarium and museum of the Mississippi. It was fun - saw a lot of fish and turtles and alligators and stuff, and Jen and I picked up a few souveniers along the way (mostly small frogs and turtles, and Jen got me a squid finger puppet).

Afterwards, we hit the Diamond Jo casino - it's a casino which is on a riverboat in the Mississippi (it's in dock, but on the river nonetheless). Jen went to the slot machines, while I stayed downstairs at the 4-card poker table.

Both of us kicked ass.

Jen walked away from the machines up about $100, and I managed to get a 4-of-a-kind in the poker game, which put me close to $450 up for the day. Woot!

We got some Chinese food afterwards, came back to Jen's mom's place, and now we're all just hanging out and watching TV.
