首届亚洲翻译家论坛
主题：友谊、交流、合作
Friendship, Communication and Cooperation
1995年7月31日至8月3日中国北京
承办组织：中国翻译工作者协会

　　来自香港、印度、印度尼西亚、伊朗、以色列、日本、约旦、韩国、科威特、黎巴嫩、澳门、缅甸、巴基斯坦、新加坡、越南和中国等 16个国家和地区的近百位翻译工作者与会。

　　中国译协名誉会长、中国资深外交家黄华出席开幕式并致贺词。开幕式由中国译协常务副会长、民政部副部长阎明复主持。中国译协会长叶水夫致开幕词。出席开幕式的有国务院新闻办公室副主任、中国外文局局长杨正泉，中国译协常务副会长、中央编译局局长宋书声，中国译协常务副会长、文化部副部长刘德有，中国译协常务副会长、广播电影电视部副部长刘习良，中国译协常务副会长、著名翻译家李越然等。

　　国际译联副主席琳达﹒斯维辛女士和国际译联理事、韩国翻译家协会名誉会长方坤教授专程来北京出席会议并致词。国内主要媒体对此做了广泛报道。

　　会议的主要议题之一，是讨论成立国际译联亚洲地区中心。国际译联当时已成立了欧洲地区中心和北美地区中心。极力主张在亚洲也成立一个地区中心。论坛经讨论，宣布成立国际译联亚洲地区中心筹备委员会。筹委会由中国译协、中科院科技译协、日本译协、韩国译协、印尼译协、香港译协的代表组成，中国译协秘书长黄友义被推选为筹委会主席。筹委会的工作从首届亚洲翻译家论坛结束之日起，到亚洲地区中心正式成立为止。筹委会办公室暂时设在中国译协秘书处。

　　首届亚洲翻译家论坛是中国译协自 1982年成立以举行的首次大型国际会议，也是亚洲翻译史上的一大盛举，亚洲译坛的一次盛会。它对推动亚洲翻译家的交流与合作，促进亚洲翻译事业的发展，对亚洲各国翻译界了解中国同行的事业和我国改革开放取得的成果，发挥了积极作用。国际译联副主席琳达﹒斯维辛女士对此次论坛作了高度评价：“……中国译协的热情、好客和良好的组织能力、论坛上发表的论文水平之高给我留下了美好的印象。……建议中国译协能够考虑在未来的某个时间在中国承办国际译联世界大会。”

　　大会决定以后每三年举办一次亚洲翻译家论坛，国际译联为主办方，亚洲各国翻译组织轮流承办。

第二届亚洲翻译家论坛
主题： 21世纪的翻译
Translation in the 21 st Century
1998年8月2-9日韩国汉城
承办组织：韩国翻译家协会

　　来自亚洲和大洋洲国家和地区的近一百名翻译工作者参加了论坛。论坛分三个专题进行了讨论：翻译与文化、翻译理论与技巧、机器翻译与科技翻译。

　　以常务副会长宋书声为团长的中国译协代表团一行 10人出席了第二届亚洲翻译家论坛。常务副会长林戊荪以国际译联理事的身份应邀参加了论坛。中科院科技译协派李亚舒等3人参加了论坛并发表了论文。香港和台湾地区也派翻译家出席了会议并宣读论文。

　　宋书声团长在代表中国译协致贺词时介绍了中国译协和中国翻译界的情况，引起了与会者的广泛兴趣。论坛期间，中国译协代表团与亚洲国家和地区的有关翻译组织就成立国际译联亚洲与大洋洲地区中心、建立“虚拟亚洲翻译家网络”等问题进行了磋商，但未能达成共识。

第三届亚洲翻译家论坛
主题：千禧年翻译探讨：翻译的洲际透视
Translation in the New Millennium: Inter-Continental Perspectives on Translation
2001年12月6-8日中国香港

　　承办组织：香港翻译学会、香港大学亚洲研究中心、岭南大学文学与翻译中心

　　本次论坛先后在香港大学和岭南大学举行。来自亚洲国家和地区的翻译家和部分大洋洲及欧洲地区的译界学者近 200人参加了会议。国际翻译家联合会(国际译联)主席阿道尔夫·金泰尔教授应邀出席并致开幕词。

　　论坛分 6个专题进行了分组探讨：翻译与传译职业、电脑与翻译、翻译与法律、翻译教学、翻译理论与研究、翻译与出版（ The Profession of the Translator/ Interpreter; The Computer and the Translator; Translation and the Law; Teaching Translation; Translation Theory / Translation Studies; Translation and Publishing ）。

　　本次论坛旨在为亚太地区的翻译工作者和学者提供一个与欧美同行沟通的机会，加强从事翻译实践人员之间的经验交流，促进地区协作和跨国译学研究，并鼓励翻译相关专业的研究者们展示他们最新的研究成果。会后出版了三本论文集。

　　为庆祝香港翻译学会成立三十周年，该学会还同期举行一些纪念活动，包括文学翻译奖颁奖仪式等。论坛期间还举办了翻译研究及文学翻译作品展示。

第四届亚洲翻家论坛
主题：翻译、认知与跨学科研究
Translation, Cognition and Interdisciplinary Studies
2004年10月29－31日，中国北京
承办组织：中国翻译工作者协会清华大学

　　本次论坛将在中国著名学府清华大学举办，预计将有来自 20余个国家和地区的200余名代表参加。国际译联主席Betty Cohen女士和国际译联执行理事会的所有成员都将出席开幕式。原文化部部长、著名作家王蒙将出席开幕式并讲话。论坛还邀请了美国、英国、丹麦和瑞士的一些知名学者做主题发言。

　　本次论坛下设 5个子议题：1. Translation and Cognition / 翻译与认知； 2. Teaching of Translation and Interpretation / 笔译/口译教学；3. Translation and Mass Media / 翻译与传媒；4. Translation and Intercultural Communication / 翻译与跨文化交流；5. Translation Corpus and Machine Translation / 翻译语料库与机器翻译。
会议期间将举办“翻译与跨学科研究”书展。

　　本次论坛将组织学术委员会在会后对发言论文进行评选，合格论文将收入中英文版会议论文集，论文集由北京外文出版社出版，部分优秀论文还将被推荐刊发在 Perspectives: Studies in Translatology ，《中国翻译》、《外语与外语教学》和《外语教学》等国内外学术刊物上。

FIT Fourth Asian Translators' Forum Second Call for Papers

Translation, Cognition and Interdisciplinary Studies

October 29-31 2004, Tsinghua University

The Asian Translators' Forum is a regional conference held once every three years under the auspices of the International Federation of Translators [FIT]. Though a regional conference, many internationally renowned scholars, apart from translators in Asia, will attend and give plenary speeches according to the plan. In addition, the president of the FIT will deliver the opening speech. The first Forum was held in Beijing in 1995, the second in Seoul in 1998, and the third in Hong Kong in 2001. The Fourth Forum will be held in Beijing again in 2004.

The Fourth Asian Translators' Forum, co-hosted by the Translators Association of China [TAC] and Tsinghua University, will be held on the beautiful campus of Tsinghua University during October 29-31, 2004. About 300 participants from all over the world are expected to attend the forum. Sub-themes of the forum are as follows:

Preliminary Schedule
The 4th Asian Translators’ Forum on translation and interdisciplinary studies will be held at Tsinghua University from October 29 to 31, 2004. Besides the regular sessions, a tour to the Great Wall is also included. During the forum, an international exhibition of books on translation and interdisciplinary studies will be held.

Submission of Abstracts
All abstracts (600-1000 words) that are related to the sub-themes of the forum are welcome. Please send us your postal address, telephone number and e-mail address along with your abstract. The deadline for submission of abstracts is April 30, 2004. Official letters of invitation will be sent to you before May 20, 2004.
