Today is my and Patrick's 3-year anniversary. Woohoo! It's enough to make me happy even in the nth day of rain. We're going out to dinner tonight to celebrate. Mmm....

I'm also feeling good right now because I'm listening to Chava Albertstein's CD Foreign Letters, which I found yesterday at Borders, on sale for £1.00 . This is one of those CDs that played a lot in my family's house when I was younger, although I don't remember ever listening to it closely. Now I feel a wonderful swirl of comfort (ah, associations) and smugness (£1!!!) as it plays over the stereo. And plus, I just really like her voice.

In other news, my supervisory meeting went really well yesterday (yay!), and I'm about 1/3 (or 1/2???) of the way through my new just-for-fun story, "Some Girlfriends Can". Sometime today I'll work up the energy to take Nika out in the rain. In the meantime, the smell of apple muffins permeates the whole house beautifully. Yum yum yum. Much goodness going round today!
