Mood:
I'll have a half double decaffeinated half-caf, with a twist of lemon

So I just placed an order for coffee, etc for the office. I tried to send 8 boxes of coffee that the people left in the office don't even touch, but since I've had it for more than a month they won't accept them back. So here we are, 12 of us, with as many boxes of single serving coffee, still ordering more because we're out of the flavored coffee. I ordered the green tea as well because I've grown to like it (never really liked coffee and don't really drink it) and it's supposedly healthy.

I was supposed to have my review today, but it was posponed. I didn't hear directly from my boss that it was going to be posponed, but rather through that particular person whom I have ranted about previously.

Speaking of him, he had me proofread his letter of resignition, as he plans to give his two weeks tomorrow.

He's not making it official until he gets the offer letter in hand, but he got verbal confirmation that he got it.

Sounds good, more money, more enjoyable job, but most of all....

OUT OF MY WAY!

May I throw a party yet?

On retrospect, he's not a bad guy. We in general get along, but that doesn't mean that he hasn't made me feel threatened in a professional sense. And job security has been a big concern for a long time as you all should know by now. (How did Kenny put it? Oh yeah, like a sucking chest wound of a soldier)

WOrk has still been workin. I've gotten some things done today. I finally think I have the issue with our Account's Payable department. For a while, they were not paying our vendors (coffee, water, etc.) but not telling me why. I hope this doesn't become a pattern, they are always behind, and catch up just enough to continue the service without fully paying off the vendors.

I've been counting office things, monitors, spare desktops, shredders, etc. Man is it depressing to know that these were all in use in this office only a few months ago.

My next step is to go count all of the unracked servers, the mountains and mountains of them.

Well, back to work.

......
Sitting there at that moment I thought of something else Shakespeare said. He said, "Hey...life is pretty stupid; with lots of hubbub to keep you busy, but really not amounting to much." Of course I'm paraphrasing: "Life is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing."
