So I've been meaning to post about my weekend, abous some movies I've seen, about places I've been, about finishing 4th season of Buffy in 4 days and being quite impressed with the whole thing, about what I've read and what I've accomplished.

But last night, Misty told me about a dear friend who died on Sunday, at the hospital, up in Northern California.

A friend that I've been meaning to send stuff to and meaning to see for several weeks now. I've just been putting off doing so as it would mean a trip to Northern California and take up a whole weekend. She just had surgery not even two weeks ago, and before then the doctors were saying that they had no idea why she was still alive with what was going on in her body.

She was a wonderful gal, Amethyst, she ran the guild that Misty now runs at Ren Faire. She was the reason that Misty did Faire, why I did Faire, why we chose the Fools over the other guilds even though the work was hard, money scarce, and respect from other guilds varied. A great time was always to be had when she was around.

I'm going to Northern Faire this coming weekend. They're putting together a service of sorts with her family and friends. I'm not going to miss it. If I had plans with you at all from Friday evening to Sunday evening, I'm not going to make it.

Goodbye Am.

My apologies for you who may be reading this who knew her, and are finding out through my journal.

*quick note, Am actually passed away at 10 PM last night. She was taken off of life support on Sunday they tried some emergency work on Monday, but we lost her*
