Holiday weekend went well.

Thursday was more of a movie day than a turkey day. Erik and I had been so busy with various things that it had been a while since we saw some movies... Okay, that's not true, we always see movies, but it was at least a couple of weeks, maybe... :)

Yeah, I know, I'm a movie junkie. It's all I do.

Actually, that's not true, Thursday started out with me waking up early and writing, a lot. Then we saw Pieces of April, then we had some awesome sausage-cheese-bread that Frank made, which was just awesome, while we watched Psycho Beach Party which was really fun, although it's really hard to see Nicholas Brendon play anything without thinking of him as Xander. Went with the boys to see Timeline that evening (which I enjoyed), wrote some more, and had a bit of a headache throughout the day so that was about it. I didn't have much in the way of "dinner" let alone Thanksgiving dinner, but headaches suck.

Friday I wrote, and completed, NaNoWriMo, as you are probably already aware. It felt really good to be done. I had to then take the train out to Rialto to hang with people out there and try on my bridesmaid dress.

Ugh. I hate trying on clothes. The dresses are nice, but it is times like that when I really notice how out of shape I'm in and how much I've gained recently. Over the past say 6 months or so especially, I've put on weight. Sometimes more than others I get really self concious about it.

Brandi's mom had some traditional turkey and various other items already ready and set up when I arrived in Rialto, so I did have some traditional style stuff that evening. After dinner I went and met with others to try on dresses. Mine fit fine, Misty just ordered her size because I wasn't able to get out there when they ordered them. I guess I'm just very uncomfortable being this big.

Saturday and Sunday I did a bunch of work for Erik's show. I finally broke down and downloaded a client to get some MP3s, and made a mix of tracks for the show, since he needs music for the intro, between each skit, and sound effects during the skits. It took a while, but the CD I made for it works brilliantly. I made a lot of props for the show on Sunday, watched the season finale of Carnivale, which was a total cliffhanger, and that's pretty much it.

Well, aside from the Great Server Fiasco of Thanksgiving Day Weekend. But that's getting it's own entry.

Oh, by the way, Erik's show is at Hollywood Fight Club, northeast corner of Highland and Sunset. It's 20 skits from old and new Saturday Night Live episodes and about a dozen actors. He directed. It's Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night. Give me a holler if ya wanna go.

So. On with my week! I'm fighting with coming down sick. The last thing I want to be is sick while I'm in a wedding, which is this coming Saturday. I rested yesterday. I've been taking care of myself as much as possible. My voice is really crackly and I'm tired but I don't really feel sick, just a little stuffy. I know I caught this from either my sister or someone in Rialto. Go fig!

And now, for some food for thought, the wonderful antics of the world today:
