Gluttony

Just finished reading a free dowloadable copy of Erik Marcus's "Vegan" (http://www.vegan.com/resources/books/Vegan.pdf). Great reading, if not as up to date as I'd like. Makes me all the more firm in my resolutions, even faced with the strange and borderline combative (?) attitudes people display when someone in their lives makes such a change. It's that or the fear tactic ("Be careful that all of your hair doesn't fall out, I've seen it happen" or "Check your teeth every now and then to make sure they don't get loose").

Strange.

I should also know by five this evening whether the bid was accepted on the house that I may or may not be living in. I'm bracing myself for the news.

Just bought Green Day tickets. Yes, I'm one broke girl but I really, really had to have them. Plus I got them at an internet pre-sale, so I got General Admission tickets and that alone was worth the price. Not sure who I'll take yet, though I do know that this will be a much easier show to get someone to attend, I'll hold out in the hopes that maybe I'll have a "special someone" to take by May 6.

Work tonight followed by a luscious two consecutive days off in a row (I think they call those "weekends". Who knew?). Trying to decide if I will go and look someone up that I want to see again on Saturday night or if I should just let that one go. Decisions, decisions.

Course, "broke girl" also has an entire season of Angel to watch and the movie "Saw" still encased in plastic, so I could just stick close to home with a bottle of wine and be a bum. Someone really needs to bar me from Best Buy, Borders, and Record Rev. I have serious issues. After a brief perusal of all of the DVDs that I've purchased in 2005 and a little mental math, I was appalled to realize that I've spend about $400. That figure does not even come close to figuring in the amount I've spent on books, CDs, or concert tickets.

And I wonder why I need to work two jobs...
