Highlights

The weekend was a mixed bag. Sure, my engine light is on again and I spent a very long Saturday and a longer Sunday studying, but there were good things to be mentioned.

The back to back Social D shows were wonderful. A liked the shows and the band, which, to me, means a lot (silly, I know).

Friday was a gorgeous almost-fall day. A and I both had the day off so went to Little Italy to pick up a pizza from Mama Santa’s and some chocolate canoli and picnicked at Lakeview Cemetery (not as morbid as it may sound, the place is incredible). He and I had what may just qualify as The Perfect Day together. I’ll report back in about thirty years to see if it can possibly get any better than that. And no, I really don’t think I’m exaggerating.

And, as suspected, today I discovered for certain that One-L’s are a deceitful little group. There’s lots of lying, withholding of information from study group partners, and general shadyness going on left and right. I find it…well, I don’t really have a word for what a find it, but if you looked at me right now you’d see that I look half bored and half disgusted.

Course, the catty part of me was rather gratified to see a bunch of male classmates checking out a picture of the bitchiest girl in my section on the internet today. Course, she goes by a different name on the website. I wonder if I’ll be able to listen to her diatribes in class and keep a straight face now that I’ve seen the girl in the buff.

And late Saturday night/early Sunday morning my upstairs neighbor and fellow One-L was jumped right outside of our apartment building. He can barely walk today because his back is hurt, and he doesn’t have a voice because they hit his throat. He was lucky enough to outrun them, but the whole thing bothers me. Perhaps I can put Zeus back on those steroids…

For now, it’s back to Torts. Midterm on Wednesday. Ah well…at least the reading is more interesting that the reading for Contracts.
