The Basics

There have been some boiler issues in my building, but now it’s apparently all worked out. I studied at the coffee shop for a bit tonight because it was too cold at my apartment and was thrilled to come back to warmth. It has gotten way too cold way too quickly.

Everyone seems to going to Halloween parties, and I’m a bit jealous. The bra that I’m wearing today seems to be in the Halloween spirit though, and keeps making absurd squeaky noises. I fear that if I move the wrong way, bats might fly out.

I’m really exhausted. I received grades back for my Contracts and Torts midterms. I’m not thrilled, but not too upset. After some informal curve calculations, I’m probably somewhere in the high B (possibly low A) range. I’m not at the top, but not quite in the middle, so I guess I should be happy. Hmph.

I have a *practice* midterm in Property tomorrow. Haven’t spent much time on it and don’t know if I really care, since it doesn’t really count (though I’m sure it’d help me in the long run if I were adequately prepared). I’d planned on pulling an all-nighter tonight, but I think I’m too old for that crap. Two large espressos haven’t helped and, sadly, it’s barely ten and I already want to throw in the towel. How lame am I?

Then, let’s see, I have a big paper due in my writing class. Can’t even think about it right now. Nope.

Finals seem to be approaching at breakneck speed. My loans, however, seem to be disappearing at an even quicker rate. It’s down to rice and cheap coffee for me.

More gunshots outside as I was writing this. I can’t wait to move.
