Words-of-Mine

No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.

Sunshine.

The apartment is cold.

Last week Michael lit the pilot light to the wall heater. It has been nice to be able to take the chill off the rooms.

I got up earlier. It was somewhere in the 10 o'clock hour. Bailey had been pestering me to feed him - which I did around 9-ish - and he wanted attention so I petted him. He was quite happy when I actually got up.

For now, I am working on self care of myself with meditation for one, brushing my teeth and hair for another. Before I can do much more, I need to take care of myself.

To keep things simple, I have used the sticky note option in my MS Outlook program. In this way I can bring up one sticky note at a time and just do the things on that note. When I am done I can close it and bring up another if I am ready to do more. If I am not ready, well, it is okay because I will have done some things for the day.

Lately, I have had my nose in my book of the moment.

What a nice surprise I found when I opened the gas bill this month. Since I have been doing so well in paying our bill on time, they have given us back our deposit. We have a credit now to work through.

If Only . . .

If only I had taken voice lessons, I would be a singer in a band.
If only I had been able to take more ballet lessons, I might have been a ballerina.
If only I had carried through on my cooking, I might be a chef, if only in my own kitchen.
If only I had Aunt Dorothy and Uncle Bo as parents I would be a different person than I am today. I might still be living in Maine.
If only I had been able to take guitar lessons, I would be playing a guitar these days.
If only I had harmonica lessons, I would be playing the harmonica now.

Well, I cannot think of anything else to write about if only. Some of these I can see I could do now. I need to make up my mind to do them.
