Words-of-Mine

No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.

"We have been taught to believe that negative equals realistic and positive equals unrealistic." - Susan Jeffers

I stayed up with Michael until 1:30 a.m. We watched three movies:

- Taken with Liam Neeson
- Unknown with Liam Neeson; I guess this is a Liam Neeson night; and
- The Mechanic with Jason Statham

Movie watching was followed by reading my daily Bible reading for the day and to read from my book, "The Pillars of the Earth."

I fell asleep easily. Although I woke up a couple of times needing to go to the bathroom.

I forgot to turn my 6 a.m. alarm on so I did not get my thyroid medication until 8:30 a.m.

I chose to get up. I even beat Bailey before he could pester me. My goal this week is to get up at 8:30 a.m. even if I am still sleepy.

I don't feel excited about the day.

I check my e-mail, facebook, and twitter.

I get Michael up at 10:09 a.m.

I cleaned the kitchen.

One of my e-mails was on a new diet but instead of watching pounds, I watch my waistline. So now I need to find my cloth ruler to begin. I also checked out their menus and find them interesting and easy. To begin my day, I am eating three hardboiled eggs. I do not have any turkey but I may substitute that with cottage cheese, if we have any. If not, I may do yogurt since I know I have plenty of that. Let the diet begin!

I did write in my hard copy journal last night, just the facts and nothing more.

I need to get with it and go do laundry but I don't have the energy nor do I want to leave the house.

I am following the menu on the diet example. I did measure my waist and it is 40 inches. Egads, that is terrible. Michael said that he might go walking with me. He also liked my idea of getting up earlier than we have been. So far today I have had the following food:

- Three hardboiled eggs
- 1/4 cup of cottage cheese
- 8 oz. glass of carrot, apple and orange juice - made by me so no additives
- One pear

And the day goes on. I did complete one of my priority tasks which were to write a cover letter for my rent check and address an envelope. Now that is ready for mailing and all I have left is to go through my 2010 files and pull only the essential papers and shred the rest. This I think I can do but for now, I am going to go sit and read my book.

Have a grand day everyone.
