No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.

"You say grace before meals.
All right.
But I say grace before the play and the opera,
and grace before the concert and pantomime,
and grace before I open a book,
and grace before sketching, painting, swimming, fencing, boxing, walking, playing, dancing;
and grace before I dip the pen in the ink."
- G. K. Chesterton, from an early notebook (mid-180s)

I don't know what to say about today.

I woke up to sunshine.

My neighbor and I walked around the block.

I talked by phone to a friend I haven't seen in ages since she has been working out of the area. We have kept in contact via text messaging. The texting works but hearing a voice is better.

I feel tired.

Bailey got a ride in the truck to the vet's office for one of his booster shots.

Michael naps on the futon and I in my chair.

I finish the book I was reading and began another.

That is about it.
