Words-of-Mine

No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.

"Art is not a pastime but a priesthood." - Jean Cocteau

Ah, it was a glorious morning because I didn't have anywhere to go when I got up. Although, Bailey began at 7 a.m. to wake me up. He was ready for some company and breakfast. I made him wait until my alarm went off at 8:15 a.m. He did settle down but was up and going when my alarm sounded.

I did take care of him, emptied the dishwasher and got it ready for more dishes. Then I got ready and put a load of laundry into my rolling cart and went to the laundromat. Yes indeed I walked to the laundromat this morning. It is not even a block away so for me it is not worth it to start up the truck for that. Now if I had been doing all the laundry, then I would have driven the truck over. Tomorrow I may do the next load but will have to see.

The have to see is because we are getting our taxes done at 11 a.m. in SLO-town. If it is like last year, we won't have to pay anything because we don't make enough money for taxes to be taken out. This is a good thing but with the way I have been feeling today, I feel like I am going to want an afternoon for myself to sit and read and pet my kitty.

I did go for a walk this afternoon. I was in the right mood and I did four hills and lots of flats. My pedometer is not working so I am not sure how far I walk. I do know it took me over and hour and ten minutes to walk it. I stopped only once to take some flower photos. On a couple of those hills I had to keep my eyes just ahead of my feet as it I can make it to the next crack in the asphalt. Okay, I can now make it to the twig I see. Whew, by the time I made the top I was winded.

I do know that with the pasta dinner made by Michael tonight and my walk, I was out cold in no time. I had only one panic dream but I was able to calm myself and go back to sleep.

Such is life in paradise.
