Words-of-Mine

No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.

"It doesn't have to be a big fire. A small blaze, candlelight perhaps . . ." - Ray Bradbury

I miss my candlelight. Back in the day I had candles burning all the time. Much to Michael's chagrin, I would forget and leave one burning all day while we were at work. I know bad mz. em, bad girl. Thank heavens, my guardian angel was watching over our home and we never had a problem. Then I began putting out the candle when I was done with my meditation and I haven't had a problem since.

I love the fragrance of candles especially beeswax. I do like the scented candles as well. When I had the money I would have various candles in all our rooms. I have to say, I like a nice fragrance.

At least when the power went out, I had plenty of candles.

I feel so for the residents of all the towns hit by tornadoes in the last couple of days. I cannot imagine what it would be like to have your home totally demolished in a blink of an eye.

I bet they could use candles right now.

I saw a report on the news tonight that showed people from out of the area coming to assist the residents and help them with the clean up. It's terrible that it takes a disaster to bring us all together.

On the home front, I finally received a call from the housing authority. I had Michael take the call. Roz, the assistant to the person handling our unit, said they were very much aware of the problem tenant and steps were being taken. I hope so and soon than later. The residents in our complex do not want to go through what we did before the drug dealer was finally evicted. Today a maintenance man came to check the oven and he was reported as saying there was nothing wrong with the oven. I also overhead that the tenant tried to stop the firemen from going into his apartment, how why would he do that?

I also learned that several neighbors who border our apartments have called in to complain as well. I hope this puts the fire under the housing authority to get things done in a timely manner.

Please say prayers for my friend D. She has just been diagnosed with cancer. This hits me kind of hard because she is such an outgoing and active person. Why do bad things happen to good people? This one I have to let go and let Goddess hold her in Her loving hands. I have offered assistance in any way at any time and other than that I can send her hello e-mails and phone calls to let her know I am thinking of her.

It was a sunny and windy day. I needed to do a load of wash and again I walked over. I kind of like doing a load at a time. I get there early enough to get one of the large washers and by the time I am finishing up, the other people begin to come in. Other times, I like taking the laundry in and doing it all at one time and be done with it. However, lately I don't have the energy to do that. I guess the rise and fall of energy needs to be taken one day at a time.

Not much else going on for the first day of a new month. I'm kind of feeling down tonight. Tomorrow will be a better day I am sure of it.

Good night to one and all.
